Letter of Recommendation from the University of Bucharest

Since 2007 RICF has been working alongside the Department of Sociology and Social Work at the University of Bucharest. Since this partnership started thirty students have done an internship with us as part of their Social Work course. Dr. Marian Preda, Dean of the Department of Sociology and Social Work, and Dr. Monica Alexandru, Internship Program Co-ordinator, have written the following letter of recommendation for us.

LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION

ROMANIA INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN’S FOUNDATION is being acknowledged both locally and nationally for its area of expertise and professional way of providing social services, and of contributing to NGO sector development. The organisation has made a name for itself based on networking and collaboration, and on its expertise in organising and implementing projects of community interest.

Our Department of Sociology and Social Work has been successfully collaborating with RICF since the year of 2007, and thirty of our students have done their internship at RICF’s HQ.  As trainees, our students have been given the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills related to social work, to learn how to work effectively for the benefit of others, and, most of all, to understand how important it is to identify the needs and expectations of beneficiaries of welfare programs.

What most impressed us is how RICF has developed itself in its 13-year run in terms of its territorial management and functioning, staff and volunteers of high character/morality, quality resources invested in the communities they serve, and, last but not least, in terms of how the organisation has managed to have an impact on the attitudes and practices of their beneficiaries and partners.

We have chosen to send our students to do their specialised traineeship at RICF because we are impressed by the quality of services and by training provided by the organisation. Also, the RICF team has always offered professional help and support to our students choosing the most suitable options and solutions to our punctual requests, enabling students to successfully complete the relevant stages of their specialised traineeship.

Therefore, we recommend RICF as being a reliable and professional partner for any company or foundation, and we appreciate its quality services and the flexibility of its solutions, that distinguishes RICF, in a favourable way, from other similar organisations.
