Our core values
Children belong in loving families
RICF aims to reunify abandoned children with their biological families, or where this is not possible, or deemed inappropriate, to place them in a substitute family, such as a foster family.
Protection from harm
Child Protection is of paramount importance to RICF and RICF shall ensure that children in its care feel safe, and are actively protected from harm.
Child-centered care
RICF seeks to provide for the spiritual, physical, emotional, social and mental needs of those in our care. We believe that every child should experience love and feel loved and valued.
We want to enable each child to develop his sense of personal identity, fulfill his potential and to provide each child with the necessary training and skills to help him become reintegrated into Romanian society.
Integrity and Justice
We aim to demonstrate and nurture the highest standards of courtesy and respect, honesty and truth, justice, accountability and responsibility.
RICF shall act as an advocate to defend the rights of the children in its care and will accept and treat equally children from all cultural and religious backgrounds.
Unity and Diversity
RICF sees all its children, employees, volunteers, Board members, sponsors and supporters as part of an essential team, and the contribution of every team member is valued and important.
Striving for excellence
We want to build a better present and more hopeful future for all the ‘Team’ and those we come into contact with.
We are committed to continuous improvement, being the best, striving for excellence, and seizing opportunities.
